Description

The main focus of my lab is to understand the role of regulatory noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) in cancer and neurodegeneration. Our lab’s long standing vision is to develop regulatory ncRNA based relevant tools and databases, integrate experimental and computational techniques to boost implementation of omics facilities in clinical settings and promote personalized healthcare system in India. We have identified long ncRNA associated SNPs responsible for breast and ovarian cancer risk prediction. Further, we have developed a microRNA-based prediction tool for noninvasive mode of preliminary diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Currently, we are in the process of identifying long ncRNAs which play a dominant role in Alzheimer disease progression.
