Description

I am a computational biologist working on infectious diseases with a primary focus on mycobacteria. My lab gathers large-scale biological data, including multi -omics data, to study gene regulation, infection mechanisms, and hos-pathogen interactions. We analyse these data in the context of protein and gene regulatory networks. We build ML models to discover novel functional elements in the bacterial genome. In our latest work, we used Random Forests to identify small proteins in M. tuberculosis. Currently, we are building an Isolation Forest-based method to identify novel small RNAs in bacteria using sRNA-seq data. We intend to host this method as a tool for the researchers in the field. I am keen on joining the RNA India forum, through which I hope to get connected with other RNA researchers in the country to share our research and strike collaborations.
