Description

Our group focuses on the functional and mechanistic characterization of noncoding transcription, particularly long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), in plants such as chickpea, tomato, and Arabidopsis. We aim to decode how these regulatory ncRNAs, or the small peptides (smPEPs) they may encode, impact plant development and stress responses, including frost and transient cold stress. Our broader vision is to uncover novel molecular factors and sustainable strategies for crop improvement and agricultural biotechnology under changing climatic conditions, alongside advancing fundamental discoveries in the field of unexplored noncoding RNA biology.
